Spirulina Village Farm Project in West Africa

A video produced in 1988 about the way an African village (Farende Togo) integrated a system that was pioneered by Dr. Ripley Fox. The village took pqrt in the experiment to grow spirulina. They used paddlewheels that were charged by solar panels. In a basin as small as 100 sq/m they could feed a hundred children a day with a supplemental diet. They screened pond water, and the spirulina thickened, while the paste was dried in a solar dryer. The health clinic distribute the dried Spirulina to undernourished children, who consumed it daily. The results were remarkable. Source:
